Junction City Teddy Bears Who We Are The Junction City Teddy Bears, Inc. is a non-profit gay men's club formed to bring together for social and entertainment purposes those individuals with common interests as Bears, Cubs, and their Admirers. We are all bonded by friendship from the heart and mind in our efforts to generate camaraderie among ourselves and with fellow Bears, Cubs, Admirers and Bear Clubs. Why That Name The Teddy Bears were formed in 1996 out of the efforts of two wild and wooly bears that called Junction City their home and, in their honor, we retain that name. Since our founding membership has grown to include bears, cubs and admirers from all over the North East corner of Kansas -- our habitat ranges from Salina to Olathe, from Atchison to Emporia. What We Do The Junction City Teddy Bears sponsor various contests, benefits, raffles, campouts, picnics and such throughout our member service area. We meet monthly usually for a member hosted pot luck or theme dinner and to conduct whatever business requires attention. In addition we have Dutch treat Bear Feastings at different North East Kansas eateries. We also are a primary sponsor along with the Xcalibur Club for the annual Junction City Pride events held in Junction City. For details about our current schedule of events check here. Guests are always welcome to meetings of the Junction City Teddy Bears and our sponsored events. Contact any of the officers/members for details on upcoming dinner meetings. Guests are expected to become members after attending their second club meeting. Guests are free to attend and participate in all events sponsored by the club based upon the rules/fees for participation posted for each specific event. To become a member you must be 21 years old or older, complete the membership application, agree to abide by the club's by-laws and event policies and maintain your annual dues. New members may be sponsored / presented by any current member of the club. For more information on upcoming events or to request a membership application: You can e-mail any of the
